Help a little One of our Kiva clients has paid back his loan, the 4 other clients continue to make progress. Here is an update for our newest client:
LOAN: 17 month loan for $1100 funded by 35 lenders. Carlos Cesar Fernandez Mendoza is 44 years old and lives in Peru, is seeking a loan of $1,100 to purchase spare parts and car accessories. He needs $350 more to get started. He works primarily on the electrical part of vehicles and has his own shop. He has also worked as a teacher of electric mechancis at the Catalina Buendia de Pecho Institute for the past seven years. Carlos would like to invest in the purchase of instruments to be able to offer better quality and effectiveness in his diagnostics.
Here is an update on our first 4 clients:
LOAN: 12 month loan for $1400 funded by 49 lenders. Roman Dzvidzinskiy in the Ukraine, He owns a small business offering auto repair services in the town of Ivano-Frankivsk. Roman specializes in fixing engines..
LOAN: 9 month loan for $700.00 funded by 27 lenders. Miguel in Bolivia, he loves vehicles and he tells us that he is a 'vehicle doctor' since he spends every day maintaining and repairing vehicles.
LOAN: 14 month loan for $800 funded by 29 lenders. Luis Alberto in Bolivia, this is his second loan, in order to purchase a hydraulic lift and other tools such as wrenches for his workshop. He wants to expand his workshop as the number of customers requiring his services has gone up in recent months
LOAN: 14 month loan for $1,000 funded by 27 members. Anonymous, Lebanon. He has more than fifteen years of experience in car repair and has run his own small repair shop for three years. With his loan of $1000 from Kiva partner Ameen s.a.l., he wants to increase his capital and buy needed equipment. He hopes to diversify and sell car oil in his shop With our donations, http://www.kiva.org/lender/AESwave provides micro-loans to entrepreneurs on 5 continents. In October 2010 we loaned money out to 4 mechanics / technicians.

Train-the-Trainer Workshop
This class is designed for all
automotive instructors who want to increase their knowledge of the
selected topics, improve their teaching techniques and diagnostic
skills, and to meet their NATEF training requirements.
OBD II
“Up-To-Date” Diagnostics: Drive Cycles and Monitors, MODE 6, and
Evaporative Emission Systems. Vehicle Networking systems and in-cylinder
compression waveform analysis will be covered. The
week will include approximately sixteen hours of extensive hands-on
assignments that include testing and diagnosing a variety of vehicles.

Cost for CA residents::
Each student must register for 1.5 units, forty hours of college credit,
